Hokkien Mee At Kampung Juru, Penang

This is 'Kampung Juru Cocoa Tree Hokkien Mee' located at No. 302, Jalan Tokong, Juru on mainland Penang. It is about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the traffic condition, from Autocity in Prai. It is opened from late morning till about 4pm but sometimes selling out at 3.30pm once the soup dries up. It is closed on the 29th day of each chinese calendar month.

For those lazy to go far, a Snack Corner is available......

Can't resist taking another shot of customers making difficult choices.

My 2nd big bowl finally arrived, which is a norm for me. The special fried chili paste plays a very important role in making the soup yummy, spicy and super tasty. A unique taste indeed that tantalize my taste bud.
How to get to here? It is located at Jalan Tokong, Kampung Juru, Juru, Penang. Bon Apetite!!

Pinang Peranakan Mansion

The well can still be seen at the rear courtyard but the canal is no longer there due to developments over the century. Who knows, what lies buried below this ancestry temple and what stories it may hold.

When this grand doors was first opened about 10 years ago, I was one of the first lucky few who had the chance to walked in and felt as though I was being transported back in time. The air was chill and the silence truly mystifying that morning. A life size bronze statue of Kapitan Cina Chung Keng Kwee stands prominently near the altar of ancestry. I was awed by the grandeur and old portraits hanging on the wall. I was shown the well at the rear courtyard and tales of the well's history sent a chill down my spine. Off course, the well was filled with soil over the years it was closed to all.

After walking out that morning, restoration works that lasted a few years began shortly after on the ancestry temple and mansion built by Kapitan Cina Chung Keng Kwee. Private acquisition and restoration work costing more than RM7.0 million is now showcased as Pinang Peranakan Mansion. A heritage site for visitors, special events, exclusive dinner function and shooting location for film producers.

Panther & Decepticon Sighted in Prai, Penang
The 40 footer mother of all steel-built container lying in wait. The belly is fully loaded. Be warned!!
Suddenly, the Decepticon arrives and the action begins. Affirmative.
A crater has been created and the Decepticon wins... this time. The Panther retreats at a cost. Will we ever see it in action again? When not on duty calls, the SEA Panther can be seen at SEA HQ (Sin Eng Aun Mobile Crane) depot in Bukit Tengah, Malaysia. The End.
